I wrote the following text on facebook on August 31st, before I left my job. I’m adding it here now as a reminder of how important a support system is when we’re stepping in to new territory. Also, I want to tag it in another post I’m working on.

“I’m in my classroom, waiting for my next class.
I’m chugging chicken noodle soup (husband’s name…let’s go with Aberforth) made for me.
I’m rapid-paced filling out extra name tags from materials Aberforth ordered for me.
I’m listening to music he paid for. On a phone he bought. On a wireless Bose speaker he reminded me to bring.
With the promise of sushi if I don’t die from THE MOST INCREDIBLE PARTNER/FRIEND/SPOUSE/HUMAN I COULD EVER IMAGINE.

All this to say…. THANK YOU, ABERFORTH. I may be an anchor, but you’re my life jacket.”
